Discord Content Creator Roles
Hello everyone,
we have added tiers to the content creator roles. Everyone who had a content creator role was given tier 1 and is free to apply for tier 2 or 3 in 📝applications if they meet the new requirements, which can be found below.
Tiers
They can be achieved in two ways:
You need to have at least the related follower/subscriber number and make GeoGuessr content
You need at least half of the related follower/subscriber number and make a promotional video about Plonk It with the related requirements.

Little achievements update.
With the help of @Keaton for the design, we added:
A successor in the series of number of countries 5Ked (40) as we noticed that many of you already had that number while the last in the series only asked for 20. If you already deserve it, you still need to play one more game for the data to be updated.
3 new hidden achievements. Unfortunately I can't show you their icons as they give away a bit too much the conditions for getting the achievement...
Also, you can now see how many other people got your achievements in the /achievements_list command. Respect to the 3 people who played over 3000 games in Ranked.

Hello all! We would like to make two rule clarifications.
1.
Old: We apply a penalty of 5 or 10 seconds per instance for timed records using the space bar script.
New: Since use space bar to go to next round has been implemented by GeoGuessr, the past rule against the space bar use is now no longer in effect.
2.
Old: When getting a glitched round, you must skip it by guessing a random place and not counting it as part of your streak. If this happens during a hedge or highscore attempt, that entire game should be restarted and not counted as part of your run. *A black screen or a round that becomes a black screen upon refreshing, photospheres, unofficial and Generation 1 coverage will be counted as glitched. Trekkers and border locations, including spills, do not fall under this category.
New: When getting a glitched round, you may skip it by guessing Antarctica and not counting it as part of your streak, or you may guess based on the information you have. If you opted to skip the round, and it happens during a hedge or highscore attempt, that entire game should be restarted and not counted as part of your run. Hello everyone!
We are looking for new record reviewers and ranked investigators.
Reviewers process all the records submitted to us.
Ranked investigators handle reports on Plonk It 2v2s, and determine if reported players cheated or committed other inappropriate offences.
You need to have been in this server for at least 6 months, and have at least 2.5k games. In addition, you should not have any history of inappropriate behaviour (including cheating offences). If your application is successful, you are expected to contribute at least a few hours a week to either reviewing records or handling reports (depending on workload and which role you applied for).

In addition, we would like to let you all know that maps mentioned in your petitions may differ from the final map for the temporary category, because we want the best map to be used in each record categories. In general, we prefer the map being proposed to exhibit such qualities:
good subdivision distribution (preferably with a spreadsheet listing number of locations for each subdivision), IntersectionGuessr maps are discouraged because of this since some subdivisions may have an overweighted amount of intersections.
sufficient amount of locations to prevent repeats (preferably 50k+ locations for country maps).
maps made by the official polygon mapmaker are strongly discouraged. The reason being such maps may contain almost all outdated coverage and have no good subdivision distribution.
countries for subdivision streaks should have sufficient coverage, i.e. Kyrgyzstan subdivision streaks is discouraged because the lack of coverage for that country.
unofficial coverage maps are strongly discouraged.
Maps that do not fit these criteria may still be accepted as temporary categories, but maps fit these criteria would more likely to be accepted as temporary categories by all reviewers. Finally, from now on it's no longer necessary to include a map link in your petition.

Two notes:
We will retire the current India State Streak category (named pre-update), and instead create a new category accepting India State Streak submissions since the map has been significantly updated following the new India updates.
Following the poll for A Diverse World and inputs from multiple community members, we will continue accepting submissions for all ADW categories, but move all ADW records to the bottom of their respective sections.
In addition, to reduce cluttering, we have now separated world map records and regional map records into two separate pages.

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce a new GeoGuessr map called Plonk It Extreme. It contains over 500 of the most challenging, difficult and extreme locations. Most of the locations are from the old Plonk It map, but you will also find new unseen locations.

To contribute a location to the map, just head over to 📍locations and share it. Every difficult, official and non-trekker location will be considered. Else, they will be added to the classic Plonk It map.
The map is designed for No Move gameplay. If that is too easy for you, there is still the opportunity to play it NMPZ or with a low time limit.

We are excited to announce several new features for our popular MetaBot quizzes.
First of all, we have implemented private quiz channels, which you can use to play quizzes at your own pace, at any time and out of public view. Both solo and with friends. Simply head to 🔓private-quiz to redeem yours!
Moreover, our numerous subdivision quizzes have been integrated into the new "Subdivision Explorer" mode. Apart from providing you with a convenient way to memorise the world's subdivisions, you'll have the opportunity to collect medals and track your progress on our dynamic map.
In addition, the bot will record the fastest times on each quiz. Perhaps - with a bit of luck and perseverance - you will set a new server record?
