Hello everyone! In regard to the upcoming GeoGuessr World Cup, we are excited to introduce our new game mode, the Plonk It BO3 1v1 Duels. It consists of three games, a NM, NMPZ and if needed a Moving game as a tiebreaker.

Ranked now has 6 main maps: ACW, AAW, ARW, AI Gen, AIW, AARW. And 5 other maps that can be redeemed with !reward pick [name]: ABW, AI Pop, Regionguessing, Dirty World and Terminus.

You may soon receive the Globetrotter achievement even if you already had it before: the bots didn't record whether you already played AAW and AARW before, so ranked considers you're still missing these 2 maps for the achievement.

Another unrelated news: since yesterday there is a 4th option for your NMPZ preference in 1v1 challenges. You can request to play only in NMPZ. Be aware that most players have the default preference (never NMPZ) so if you choose this new option, it makes you incompatible with an important part of the players pool: queue times may increase for you.

Late announcement because these two changes happened 2 weeks ago (better late than never )

  • The soft resets periodicity has been changed from every week to every 4 weeks. The next soft reset is tonight at midnight PST, so there won't be another one until July 31st and so on. The intensity remains the same: 25%.

  • Peak ELOs are now visible on the website rankings.
